Practice Lectio Divina/ Sacred writings are living and divine filled guides to God’s Holy Word. Practice Lectio Divina, an ancient practice of prayerful reading of scripture that includes meditation and listening for the voice of God in the text. The practice was a common element in Christian mysticism. Christian mystics throughout history have sought a direct, personal, and experiential knowledge of God /Jesus. Some of the more famous Christian Mystics are Brother  Lawrence, Julian of Norwich, and more recently Thomas Merton, Henri Nouwen, Evelyn Underhill, Howard Thurman, and Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.
