Chapter 6

Over the weekend I didn’t see Patty but I knew I wouldn’t Grandma told me that they were going to be out of town all weekend.

Even though today was Monday I knew Patty wouldn’t be home until after 5 p.m. because her Mom works during the day. Patty and her sister go to stay at a woman’s house during the day.

I’m not sure she will be outside tonight. Now that I have my Art Studio set up I really want to start drawing pictures.

I’ve already drawn my Art Studio twice. I gave one to Mom and we are sending one to dad. He won’t receive it for a while but at least he will know that I have my very own Art Studio.

He will be so surprised!

I drew a picture of a chocolate chip cookie for Grandma to tell her thanks for her cookies and for helping me find things for my Art Studio. She has been a great help.

I think I want to start drawing animals and I have a photograph of a cat from my friend I went to school with last year.

This was my first drawing of her cat.

It’s just a sketch so no color has been added.

I may work on that tomorrow or I may decide to change the sketch before I add color.

Right now I have to get ready for dinner.

At night I don’t go to the Art Studio. I sit with Grandma and Mom and we usually do something together.
