Hi, My Name is Diane.

I’m writing this because I want to know if there is anyone out there who has just moved to a new neighborhood.

Actually, it’s a a new neighborhood, a new town, a new state, and a new life.

I’ll back up a bit to tell you why everything is so new.

My dad, Captain Jack is in the Air Force. He has been sent across the ocean. My mom and I moved to a new neighborhood in a new town in a new state.

We moved in with my grandma so my Mama could work during the day.

I’ve been to my grandma’s house before but we were only here for a few days and I didn’t meet any children in the neighborhood. Grandma says there are children who live here but I haven’t seen any children. We moved after my school year finished but school here hasn’t finished yet.

I really hope when school finishes I’ll be able to meet some of the kids who live near Grandma.

Right now all I know is that I miss my dad.
