Sew Be It

I come from a long line of very talented seamstresses, but I was not so gifted at the machine. I did discover I wasn’t a terrible hand quilter so that became my thing. I do use the machine to piece together the top section of parts (because long term the pieces last if they’re done on the machine. Unlike my mother, grandmother, and great grandmother I wasn’t talented at making clothes. My mother even made suits. Somewhere along the line I discovered several great second hand shops and that’s where I get a lot of my good clothes. Because I am so short (I never made 5’) I use that to my advantage. I can always hand sew the hem up.
All in all…God is good and blesses me with fabulous finds at second hand shops!
And…thanks to talented women in my life, I know how to sew well enough to make them look custom made!
