Art in the Attic

New new Day
Day 4
The next morning when I woke up I started thinking about my art studio.
After breakfast I went to my room and started unpacking my art supplies.
I had scraps of paper I had collected and some tablets people had given me. I gathered those together and after talking to Grandma I took them to the attic. Grandma gave me a box to put my paper in. She also said she had boxes for just about anything so when I need a box I can ask her.
She also said she was pretty sure she had an old cart in the basement that she could clean up so I could keep my art supplies organized.
I gave her a big hug and told her, “I love you, Grandma! You have been such a help.”
Grandma said, “don’t you hesitate to ask me for help.”
I smiled and shook my head.
I gathered my paints and took those to the attic.
Then I organized my colored pencils, crayons, and drawing pencils and took those up.
Next, I put together the rest of my things I used from time to time like glue, glue sticks, and scissors.
Looking at all of those things reminded me of my dad. I remembered how he helped me get all of my art supplies together before he left so I would have everything I need while I’m at Grandma’s house.
I had no idea at the time I would have my own art studio!
I made a mental note to write to my dad to thank him for helping me gather art supplies. I also made a note to draw a picture to sent to him when I have everything organized.
I took the last of the supplies upstairs and Grandma came up from the basement with a cart that had sections.
Grandma apologized that it was old but I smiled and said, “my Dad says old things have a history and charm all their own and that makes them special. I love it!”
We managed to slowly get the cart into the attic and I spent the afternoon organizing my supplies.
I had so much fun getting things in order. I loved my art space!
This is going to be so much fun!
After I went back downstairs Grandma told me she saw her neighbor outside and they had been doing errands all day. She said probably tomorrow I could meet her daughter Patty.
“That’s nice.” I told Grandma.
The truth is I’d been so excited about my studio I hadn’t thought about meeting Patty.
