Genesis 50:20, “you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”

Context: Joseph spoke these words to his brother who sold him into slavery to be taken to Egypt. Later, because of famine his brothers later came before him begging him for food. Joseph provided the food and saved Israel. He spoke these words to his brothers when they came before him.

Prayer from scripture: Lord, there are times we do not understand why things happen the way they do. When we have trusted You, all things are meant for good. Amen
