Say Thanks

Before every meal, say thanks.

Remember there are children and people around the world who don’t get fresh asparagus and fish with hash browns for dinner.

They don’t get peanut butter and jelly on fresh bread for lunch.

They didn’t have a choice which cereal to eat, or if they wanted bacon and eggs. There was no fresh orange juice in the frig.

Before they lay their head down at night they don’t get to choose if they want chocolate ice cream or an ice cream sandwich.

We are clueless.

So remember whatever you eat is a gift from God.

Say thanks.

And while you’re at it, pray for the children who only had water, a piece of bread, and some watered down okra and bean soup. They only had a few beans in the soup. That might have been their only meal of the day.

There was no ice cream for desert.

But, they were grateful for the okra soup and beans.

Be Grateful. And while we’re at it maybe we need to remember the words on the Status of Liberty , “give me your tired your poor”. We need to remember that instead of thing of of getting richer. We weren’t founded on the principal of hoarding g what we have. American was founded on open doors and open hearts.

Imajessayin…we’re not entitled.

It’s in Jesus,

Deborah,
